Can I see what the game is like before registering and betting?

Of course! You can even play for free!

Just download the software and open an account. For beta games you don’t need to bet money but we do ask that you give us accurate information. After registering, take a look around and visit the tables.

Is security guaranteed at Ventury Games?

It’s fundamental that each player is protected against possible group tricks or scams among players. Ventury Games uses trustworthy security systems specifically developed for poker and we pledge to do everything we can to ensure a fair game. While we do monitor live games as well as those with automatic systems, we ask for your help too. If at any moment you suspect that one or more players is not playing fair, don’t hesitate to contact us through e-mail at: venturygames@pokerresponse.com

I lost my user name and password. What should I do?

As you know, we guarantee secure information. If you have forgotten your user name and/or password you should contact us directly by phone. We are more than happy to assist you 24 hours a day. How can I join or start a game?

Before starting, pick a game and a table. You can find them in the lobby of the software. After selecting the game you want, highlight the table you'd like and click GO TO TABLE. You’ll be routed directly to the game table. Once at the table, select which “seat” you'd like to play. Click JOIN to be placed in the seat. You’ll be asked how many chips you'd like to buy after fixing a minimum. You can bet all of your money or part of it as long as you meet the minimum.

What happens if I lose my connection?

Ventury Games takes important measures to guarantee an environment where you can play poker securely and comfortably knowing that you're protected if you lose your connection to a server. Should this happen, the system will automatically place you all-in so that your contribution to the pot will be protected and you can still claim your piece of the pot if you have the best cards.

¿How does your disconnection policy work? How many all-in's are considered?

Our all-in protection is designed to protect your investment into a pot when you run out of money during a hand, do not act in time, or get disconnected for any reason. Ventury Games allows each player two all-in protections per 24-hour time period.

How to continue all-in when you run out of money

If you run out of money during a hand, you don't have to fold the hand! You can go all-in. When you run out of money or if you only have enough to cover part of the wager the best option is to go all-in to play for the money you have already contributed to the pot.
All other action by the remaining active players goes into a side pot to be vied for between them.

The reason we allow a player to go all-in is because all poker rooms play for table stakes. This is all the money a player has at the beginning of a hand and the amount they can play for during that hand.

How to continue all-in when you don’t act within the available time

In the event you fail to act on your hand in time (during the 10-second limit), the system will assume you can no longer finish your hand. Going all-in will protect your investment in the pot up to that point in the game. The system will track and record your cards and show them to all of the players in the showdown.

If you win, your account will be credited accordingly. You can request a hand history at the table to review your hand to verify the outcome.

To continue all-in after getting disconnected

We understand that gaming on the Internet can become unstable from time to time because a player may get disconnected from a server. Regardless of the reason behind your disconnection, we will protect your investment up to the point of the disconnection by placing you all-in.

The system will track and record all of your cards and show them to all players during the showdown. If you win, your account will be credited accordingly. You may request a hand history at the table to review the entire hand so that you can verify the outcome.

Important:

You are playing at your own risk any time your all-in status is 0. That means that you do not have all-in protection and if you disconnect or fail to act in time, your hand will be folded and your investment will be lost with no recourse whatsoever. Although we give you 2 all-in protections per 24-hour period, we will consider resetting your protection if warranted.

Just contact Ventury Games at venturygames@pokerresponse.com for consideration. However, if we suspect abuse of the all-in protection feature you run the risk of losing your membership or the denial of your reset request.
Please note that sending a request or receiving approval notification does not mean that you have all-in protection. You do not have all-in protection until you see it online in your account.

What kind of computer do I need to play?

We recommend a Pentium 133 MHz with a minimum of 25 MB available in the hard drive 64 MB of RAM. Operative system: Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP. Be aware that the software will not work if the Microsoft Winsock Proxy is opened.

Can I use Ventury Games if I have a Mac?

Sorry, but our software does not support Macs.

Is this game legal in my area?

To play, you must be of legal age (18 years or older). You should also be careful, as playing online poker could be illegal depending on where you are playing. Be sure to check the laws of your country and region before playing.

How can I change my user name, password or address?

You can modify your personal information at any time. To do this, click on the PERSONAL INFORMATION button in the software lobby to change your personal information.

How do I find out how much money is in the pot?

If you want to know how much money has been added to the pot move the cursor over the pot. A pop-up will appear with the exact amount of money inside.

Can I ask for a position change in the game?

No, sorry. Once you’ve selected your position, you can't change it.

How can I get a history of the hands I have played?

On the right side of the screen, you will find the section MY GAME HISTORY. The information is updated immediately after each game and will show the last five hands you have played.

How do I leave the table or game?

If you want to leave the table or game, just click on the button LEAVE TABLE. If there is a hand being played at that moment, you should “fold” before leaving the table.
